JOHN F. MULHALL

John F. Mulhall, aged 84 of Grand Rapids, died Saturday, March 7, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings; wife of 40 years, Nancy Mulhall and second wife, Lois Hudson Mulhall.  He is survived by his children, Patrick (Mary) Mulhall, Christy (Barry Simpson) Mulhall, Kevin (Dana) Mulhall and Brian (Amy) Mulhall; sisters Kathleen Page and Noreen McGill; Mulhall grandchildren, Sean, Conor, Nick, Frannie, Libby Davarn (and her son, Carter), Fr. Colin, Shelagh (Nate Orlikowski), Meg, Molly and Brennan; sisters-in-law, Mary Rossi and BeeCee Didion; significant other, Elaine Abel and many nieces and nephews.  John was a 1953 Grand Rapids Catholic Central graduate.  He had a 40 year career as an x-ray technician in the Grand Rapids area.  John was an avid golfer and a Detroit Lions fan.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 3:00 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd., SE.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St. SE with his grandson, Rev. Colin Mulhall and Rev. Peter Damian, presiding.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  John’s family would like to thank Spectrum Hospice and Sunrise of Cascade for all the wonderful care given to our Dad and Grandpa.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

  1. So very sorry for your loss. I never met John but from knowing Kevin and Father Colin, he must have been an incredible man, father and person. I pray this transition is gentle for all.
