MOREHOUSE Lily Li Morehouse passed away peacefully at home January 27 2011. Lilys journey began in Kunming China on October 4 1955 and now ends in eternity with her beloved Lord God. Lily was preceded in death by her father Li Jing Yang and beloved Mama Yu Zhen Zhou. She is survived by her husband Rich; her beautiful daughter Allyssa Shumeng Li Morehouse; sons Scott (Christy) Morehouse and Todd Morehouse; brothers Li Tao and Li Lu. She is also survived by her treasured friend sister Debbie Martilotta. Inspired by her Mama Lily came to America in 1988 to explore new worlds. After receiving her Masters Degree in chemical engineering at Cincinnati University Lilys journey brought her to Ada where she lived and worked. Lily worked for Amway as senior chemist for over 18 years. She loved all of her Amway family who supported her throughout the years and especially during her 15-month battle with cancer. Lily also loved her friends in the Grand Rapids Chinese community. She especially enjoyed dancing during the celebration of the Chinese New Year. She deeply loved her bible study friends from Keystone Community Church who showed Lily the deepest of love and support. Most of all Lilys love for Allyssa Meng Meng was the highlight of her life. Lily will be missed but never forgotten. Her courage love for others and faith in God have been and will continue to be an inspiration to family and friends. Lily would like to be remembered as peace joy and love. Visitation will be held on from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Memorial services will take place on at Keystone Community Church 655 Spaulding SE Ada Sharon DeJong officiating.
