Lorraine Anne Ball (Polack), age 92 of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Ball; sister, Mary Polack; brother Jack (Florence) Polack; and sister, Elizabeth Bouchard. Lorraine is survived by her beloved children Steve Ball and Marchiea Anderson, Chad (Judy) Ball, Dan Ball and Oritetta Mikulandra, Missy (Bill) Harrison, Betsy Standish and Michael Bale. Lorraine was blessed with 12 grandchildren Bill (Andrea) Harrison, Dan (Grace) Harrison, Nicki (Adam) Smith, Michael Ball, Sarah (Tony) Zobro, Chelsea (Reid) Meador, Trevor (Jamie) Hause, Daniel Ball, Mitchell Hause, Conner Ball, Sydney Ball, Bret Standish; great granddaughters, Avery and Zoey Harrison; brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Polack, Joseph (Jan) Polack; brother-in-law Wallace Bouchard; also her many special nieces, nephews, and several close and dear friends. Lorraine’s greatest love was her family. She was a hard worker all of her life and loved to cook, entertain, read and enjoy time with her friends and family. Throughout her life she has shared through her actions her faith, joy, compassion, sensitivity and sincerity with all. Lorraine was always there to listen to anyone and everyone. She was a competitive bridge player who didn’t like to lose. Lorraine will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends. The family will meet friends and relatives Friday 4-7:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 4:00 pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 2750 Burton St. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Parish.
