Lucy Ann (Brovont) Wilcox, age 91 of Cascade, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday, August 30, 2014. She was born August 20, 1923 to Tobias and Laura Brovont. She was a resident of Cascade for more than 43 years. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Kenneth L. Wilcox; her son-in-law, Larry A. Beck; eight brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children, Rita Beck, Jeff (Bev) Wilcox, Karen (Hartman) Kircher IV, Craig Wilcox; grandchildren, Steven (Jamie) Beck, David (Tori) Beck, Brent (Rachel) Wilcox, Melissa (Zachary) Van Dyke, Lindsey (Scott) Frein, Keith Kircher; ten great grandchildren, who were a source of joy in her declining years; sister, Rosa Wilcox; brother, Ernest (Neva) Brovont; also many nieces and nephews. We have been blessed to know her as mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Lucy was a long time member of Cascade Christian Church, where she spent many years volunteering in the youth ministry, Denison Guild, and gift shop. She enjoyed and appreciated her visits from her church family and Faith Hospice, their uplifting spirits blessed her. Her sense of humor, giving spirit and many talents will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m. Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr. S.E., Grand Rapids with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Jill Forton officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery.
