FODOR, MARIE C. (SCHAAB), age 102, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Grand Rapids at Pilgrim Manor, her home since 2006. Marie was born July 27, 1912 in East Lake, Michigan to Roy and Octavia (Deschaine) Schaab. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; daughter and son-in-law, Bernadette and Robert Cook, son, Thomas, and son-in-law, Michael Handlin. Surviving are her children, James and Sue Fodor, Terri Handlin, Robert and Nancy Fodor, Mary and Stefan Simons, daughter-in-law, Margaret Fodor Hilliard; grandchildren, Robert and Sandy Cook, Mary Lynne Cook, Barbara Cook, Michael Cook, Julia and Andre Levesque, Adrienne Fodor, Cy Simons, Leo Simons; great-grandchildren, Nicolle and Marc Sherwood, Jeremiah Cook, Joshua Thompson, Monica Cook, Anthony and Nancy Grygorzyk, Julien Levesque, and great-great granddaughter, Molly Grace Sherwood. Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Fritz Kuhn, Catherine Fodor, Gabriel and Alice Fodor; along with many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton S.E., Grand Rapids. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E. and Monday 10-11:00 a.m. at the church.
