Marilyn Mae DeFer, age 84, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by Tom, her beloved husband of nearly 59 years; her parents, Earl and Dorothy Clinton; and grandchildren, Ryan and Baby D.  She is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) DeFer, Karen (Joe) Naimo and Sara (Pat) Meyers; grandchildren, Leah and Josiah DeFer, Laura (Matt) Kraft, Pamela (Ryan) Diephuis, Joshua and Benjamin Naimo, Craig (Jeanne) Meyers, Eric (Courtney) Meyers, Allison and Conner Meyers; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Harper, Olivia, Micah, Adalynn, Austin and Naomi; brothers, Ron (Barb) Clinton, Dan (Liz) Clinton, Dave (Jan) Clinton; brother- and sister-in-law, Harry (Ana-Marie) DeFer; and also many nieces and nephews.  Marilyn’s greatest loves were her Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband, Tom, and her family.  She will be remembered for her Godly character, her servant’s heart, and her kind, gentle and loving spirit. Marilyn was eager to see people grow in their relationship with Christ and consistently put others before herself. Many will also remember Marilyn’s love of baking and her delicious sour cream twists, red cake, roast and “spaetz”.  She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. To celebrate Marilyn’s life, a family memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
