Martha Elizabeth Everin, age 78 of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Martha is survived by her children, Cindy (Mark) Farah, Robert (Nancy) Everin, Sara Burdak; grandchildren, Justin and Adam Farah, Olivia and Madison Everin, Daxton and Macey Burdak; brothers, Gordon (Cindy) Evarts, Patrick (Rita) Evarts; sisters, Tina (Greg) Ward, Sue (Fred) Paiz, Liz (Doug) VanderWal, Amy (Peter) Zietlow; brothers-in-law, Paul (Beth) Everin, Tom (Kathy Hooley) Everin; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born and raised on the West Side where she attended St. James and graduated in 1960 from Catholic Central, having met the love of her life, Bob. Martha received her teaching degree from Western Michigan University and briefly taught English at Shawmut Hills. The young couple moved to Big Rapids to join the family hospitality business and raise their growing family.  They returned to Grand Rapids to open the Kentwood Station where Martha was known as the “Souper” Chef.  Some of their favorite times were at their Hideout on the Manistee River.  She spent her final years in Ada where she was an active member of St. Robert of Newminster and enjoyed spending time laughing with her family and friends.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Robert of Newminster, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301.  Family will greet visitor’s one-hour prior. Rev. Leonard Sudlik, presiding. Interment St Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery, Fife Lake, MI.
