Mary Joy Rowe-Anderson

Mary Joy Rowe-Anderson of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away quietly at the home of her parents in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 20, 2018. Mary Joy Rowe was born June 28, 1981. She is survived by her parents, Allan and Judith Rowe; sister, Alison Rowe; husband, Seth G. Anderson; father- and mother-in-law, Adele and Bob Anderson; and eight year old daughter, Sophia Anderson. Mary Joy graduated from Principia College with a double major in English and Theater and earned a degree in Illustration at Kendall School of Art and Design. She completed her master degree in education at Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee and taught art at Franklin Road Academy.  She was much loved as an assistant director of school musicals for the past three years. A memorial service will take place Thursday, July 26, at 11:30 AM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary Joy’s life. The family will meet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
