KAY Norman Kay age 84 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his children on November 7 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Jane Kay; his brothers Larry and Paul Klukowski. He is survived by his twelve children Chris (Nancy), Norman (Marianne), Marie (Joseph) Gilewski Therese Rouse Katie (Tom) Mendez Margaret Michael Mark (Susan), Joe (Bridgette), Jeanne Cavanaugh John and the caboose Patrick (Sandy); seventeen loving grandchildren many great-grandchildren nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters Barb Ludden and Joyce Poterack; sisters-in-law Karen & Marcella Klukowski; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ben and Jean Malewitz. His life cannot be summed up in these few words but he will be forever remembered as the master provider for his twelve children. Life wasnt easy for him raising this large family but we never knew it. He shared with us love of life his values his hard work ethic and his sense of humor. The house resonated with his beautiful voice booming out his favorite Irish ballads. Each school morning he greeted us with rise and shine everyone and that is what he expected of us to shine in life. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr., Rev. James A. Chelich presiding. Vigil service 6:00 PM.
