Raymond Kuzawa, known to many as Uncle Ray or Razor, age 67, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday June 10, 2022. Ray was born in Grand Rapids on Feb. 5, 1955, to Raymond and Bethel Kuzawa. He graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School, class of 1973, and went on to a 47-year career at Steelcase, retiring in 2021. The life of every party, especially those with a karaoke machine, Ray loved golf, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson Sportster, and traveling, especially to see friends and family. He loved most of all, being a kind person and leaving a positive impression on anyone he encountered. He is survived by daughter Emma Kuzawa and son Patrick Kuzawa. Also surviving are siblings Mary Kuzawa-Boman, Nancy Vasell (John) and Richard Kuzawa, and sister-in-law, Maureen Kuzawa. Preceding him was brother Steve Kuzawa and beloved niece Annie Boman. He will be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends – and of course his dog, Derby. Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with Rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 with visitation one-hour prior. Msgr. Edward Hankiewicz presiding. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite children’s charity or organization.

  1. To Razors family I would to say what a great friend Ray was to me I have known Ray since
    1971 and graduated From Central high school 1973 with him and also worked over 40 years at Steelcase with Razor You have my sympathy
