GREINER Robert Stephen Greiner Jr., beloved brother nephew uncle cousin and friend passed away February 12 2011 at home. Bob as he was known to his family and friends was born in Grand Rapids MI August 19 1954. He attended Catholic Central High School and graduated from East Grand Rapids High. After high school he attended and graduated from Ferris State College in Big Rapids MI. Bob owned and operated his own business Libations for many years and was known affectionately as Mr. Beverage to his family. He was a car buff and in his younger years was known for his unique collection of matchbox cars. In his later years he became the proud owner of a 1964 Buick Wildcat that he kept under lock and key during the winter months but drove with great pleasure in spring and summer throughout the country visiting siblings and their offspring in Washington Montana South Carolina and Florida. It was pretty special to ride with him and catch the admiring gaze of old timers and fellow car buffs along the way. It would be fair to say that Bob was baffled by today’s technology and could be at times thought a tad bit eccentric for his ways. It is also true that he was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him for he was a kind and gentle soul. Bob leaves behind his siblings Susan (Bob) Scherphorn Patricia Linda James Thomas (Julie), and William (Candace) Greiner nephew Joshua (Nicole) Greiner and nieces Amy Wickman Meghan (Tom) McMackin Lindsay (Jason)Silver Danielle (Collin) Lund Erin and Lauren Greiner plus many many cousins and friends. Bob’s body will be cremated and according to Bobs wishes no services are planned.
