ALCORN – Sarah Jean Alcorn aged 86 of Grand Rapids passed away December 15 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Irene VanDixon; brother Robert VanDixon; sister Margaret Cunov; infant granddaughter Kelly Strobridge. She is survived by her husband George Alcorn; daughter Rog and Susan Strobridge of Greenville; son John Alcorn of Byron Center; grandchildren Paul and Andrea Riccomini of Seneca SC Janel and Brett Hansen of Stockbridge. Gwen and Janson Gallimore of Brandenburg KY Bryan Alcorn of Kentwood; great-grandchildren Tyler and Jenna Riccomini Alexis Wesley and Lilly Hansen Marissa and Jenna Gallimore; nieces and nephews. Sarah was a member of the Cleveland-Wolverton VFW Auxiliary 3794 of Greenville. She was a homemaker lived in Grand Rapids for over 47 years and shopped with her friend Mary every downtown for over 25 years. The family wishes to extend our gratitude to Spectrum-Hospice and Whispering Woods for their care and support. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE Steve Shick Spectrum-Hospice Chaplain officiating. Interment Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.
