SOCHANEK – Scott L. Sochanek age 46 of Muskegon formerly of Grand Rapids passed away May 13 2009 after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor Sochanek; sisters Janet Sochanek and Judy Sochanek; his faithful companion of 15 years Chief. He is survived by his wife Kellie; children Laura and Josh; grandson Connar parents Stan (Susan) Sochanek; sisters Christy (Rich) Bregg and Stacey (John) Olk; brothers Eric (Doodie) Sochanek Dave (Valerie) Sochanek and Kenny Seale; parents-in-law Joe (Jeanne) Bruesch; sisters-in-law Kristie Bruesch and Kerry (Joel) Fretty; nieces & nephews Janet Ashley Gabe Jake Ben Lukius Joey Mackenzie and Kelsey; special cousin Dr. Thomas Kaye; special friends Don (Mary Ellen), Dan (Helen), Bernie and the DTE family. Scott loved his family and lived life to the fullest. He also had a great love for his Harley-Davidson and MSU football. Scott will be missed by all who knew him. Scotts family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Huang and nurse Kathy for the loving care given to Scott. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Isidore Church 628 Diamond NE Rev. Donald E. Lomasiewicz presiding. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:30 PM. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE.
