Siade Samuel Johns, age 94 of Kentwood, passed away December 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice B.; son, Joseph; great grandson, Keeland. He is survived by his children, Richard (Diana), Michael (Cheryl), Patrick (Linette), Delice (Timothy) Oddy, Maria Connell, Christine Johns, Thomas (Dorothy), David (Anne); daughter-in-law, Jackie; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Siade was a proud veteran of the Army Air Corp. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen, 1213 52nd Street S.E., Kentwood. Rev. Godfrey C. Onyekwere presiding. Visitation Tuesday 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. The family will also meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Magdalen.
