Virginia Angela Sherwood

Virginia Angela Sherwood, age 97 went to her heavenly home on April 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; and sister, Barbara Gnidziejko. Virginia leaves behind her loving family including, children, Bob (Mary) Sherwood, Tom Sherwood, Cynthia (Larry) Hatfield, Lisa (Bob) Manor; grandchildren, Mike Sherwood, Todd (Marci) Sherwood, Jesse Hatfield, Kyle (Karina Pirazan) Hatfield, Will Sherwood, Natalie Manor, Steven Manor; great-grandchildren, Maya Sherwood, Luke Sherwood, Claire Sherwood, Charlie Sherwood, Jack Sherwood, Luna Rose Hatfield; sister, Marcia Lowrey; and several nieces and nephews. Virginia found her greatest joy in her family whom she cherished. She enjoyed her books, flowers, and music. Virginia was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Her faith was deep and abiding and sustained her all through her life. Visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2022, from 6-8pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with a Rosary at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 with visitation at 10:30am. Rev. Leonard Sudlik, presiding.
