RADEMACHER – Virginia Ginny Rademacher age 87 of Grand Rapids passed away September 8 2008. She was the youngest of nine and preceded in death by her beloved husband Floyd Red Rademacher; her parents George and Anna Rafferty; brothers Raymond Gerald Arthur and Joseph Rafferty; sisters and spouses Marie (Ernie) Hess Kay (Walter) Gieroch Evelyn Rafferty and Margaret Rafferty; brothers-in-law Herb Dows and George Wittland. She is survived by her daughter Jane Rademacher (Sally Bulthuis); son Patrick (Linda) Rademacher; granddaughter Lisa (Jon) Augustine Kevin and Kirk (Michelle) Cross and Kristine Weber; great-grandchildren Nic Grace and Abigail Augustine; sisters-in-law Madelyn Dows Ruthmarie Wittland and Helen Rafferty; many dear nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Stephens Church for fifteen years and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary for over 40 years. Ginny worked at Bell Telephone Company during World War II. She volunteered for Mercy Volunteers at St. Marys Hospital for more than 40 years. Virginia and her husband Red were long time members of Greenridge Country Club then Egypt Valley. She will be missed by her many dear life long friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered September 11 at at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Plymouth & Burton SE. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Killgoar Foundation Faith Hospice or Clark Retirement Community. Her family wishes to thank those at Clark Retirement Community for the warm and tender care she received in the last years of her life.
